Annoyed to see may entries from a person in your Facebook?

If you are like me, although a bit of a late comer to Facebook, that gets sometimes annoyed by just one person spamming the main page of your profile, i decided to write about how to limit the entries from one particular person to the Posted Items tab.
If you see several entries from one person in one day, like sharing videos, photos, links, music, an other content, thus filling most of your home page, move your cursor over their name, on the left side, an Options link appears, click on it and a small box pops up, make a choice, such us, 'Fewer posts, Fewer photos, Fewer videos'. The next time the person posts something, it is filtered and goes to the 'Posted Items tab' - You decide when to see all the posts.
Now you have a cleaner home page - which is the Feeds section.
Did you know that Facebook is one of the most used sites in Vancouver? Well, according to Google trends, it is.
What do you think when you see this ad?

It's catchy, pink background, bright colors. You look at the woman, you scan her quickly from top to bottom, you think it's an ad for staying fit or for a new gym opening, you turn to the next page, you walk away, or you just throw it in the garbage.
However, if you are still looking at it, you then read the text 'Koodo Mobile', it gives you a summary of what it is - an affordable phone plan, but does it really want to make you sign up for a plan?
Personally, no. To start, the pink background, the outfit, the thing near her shoes(don't know what it is) and the name 'Koodo Mobile', the name just doesn't work. I don't fine it serious. Is this ad targeted for teenagers only? I wonder. But we all want some cheap phone plan!
They should just change the ad format and the name, get more serious with their business, and they could be a competitor.
View your photos in 3D with PicLens - it supports Facebook, Flickr, Google images

This is a neat program from Cooliris, PicLens allows you to view your favorites photos in 3D, it lets you zoom in and zoom out, or scroll the bar to see all the pictures in a wall.
It support all the major browsers, such as Firefox and Internet Explorer, it is compatible with Windows and Mac.
In Firefox, it's an Add-on program, to install it, visit http://piclens.com, however, in Internet Explorer it's an ActiveX control, it might take a couple of minutes longer to have it installed.
Once it's installed, login to your Facebook account, open an album, then click on the blue button on the very top right corner of your browser, in this case, Firefox - PicLens is launched.
You can search for images using Google, Flickr, Yahoo, Facebook and even Amazon. If you have a website with lots of pictures, you can enable it so your visitors can browse it using PicLens.

Go see the fireworks - why?

If you are into networking, it is actually a good place to meet people, sounds strange but true. There are tons of people around you, walking with you, bumping into you. Bring some business card if you have, or before you leave, write down your page on a sticky note.
You never know who you will meet, make some friends, exchange information, the person might not be interested about blogging but he or she might know someone that would be interested about it. If you give out 100 business cards, i can guarantee you that someone will follow you - meaning, will check your web site often.
Stick with your plan, remember, you are networking here, your goal is to have people visit your web site and read your blog, not picking up woman.
Whatever pops up in your mind, write it down
It seems simple, but it takes good discipline - write down what pops up in your mind.
Buy a notebook, it does not matter what kind, type or brand, what is important here is that your thoughts are saved and will not erase in the next couple of weeks or months.
Wherever you are, whatever you do, if you are in a bus, skytrain, walking, running, camping, write down what you will be blogging about. If your goal is to blog everyday - you will never run out of topics. Try not to write down 'Things To Do', or bills to pay, write it down somewhere else.
Believe me or not, it is easy to forget things if we do not write them down, if we do, you will help your mind remember them.
LinkedIn now speaks Spanish

LinkedIn, the social network for professionals is now available in Spanish. The public profile link is still in English, as well as other content, i am sure this will be get updated, as it is currently in Beta stage.
LinkedIn will push its presence harder now in the Latino countries, focusing of course, to the Hispanic professionals, there are about 25 million professionals in Latin Amreica.
A few social networks are popular in Latin America but not well known or popular in the English Speaking countries, such as Hi5, we'll see how well http://linkedin.com does.

The sexy Razr phone, smooth keypad, thin, stylish, but...
The Razr, uh, it was nice when it came out, thin, smooth keypad, sexy looking, the moto ad, nice marketing by Motorola.
I liked it very much for the first several months, but when the dust got inside the screen, i started to dislike it - i could not see who was calling or who to call. I had to answer to a few unwanted calls!
I went to the provider to help me out get the dust out, but the person did not know how other than sending it to the repair shop, that means wait a month? Maybe more, but not only that, but i would have to pay for the service, even though it was insured. Forget it!
Ok, I was sure that I was not the only person with this situation, so i turned to my best internet friend - Google. It turned out that there were many people with the same situation.
After doing a couple of searches, i got to a page where it showed me exactly what to do - find a sharp object, like a knife, something very thing - pull the left or right corner of the screen out. So i did, i got the dust out.
Things did not work out after, the glue wore out, i lost the screen protector, i was using my cell phone for several weeks without it, it was awkward and ugly looking now, eventually, the Razr died. Every time i had to make a call, i had to punch the number about 5 or more times, the screen color was gone.
The best phone i had was a Siemens(what happened to them anyways?), small, beige color, it lasted me for about 2 years!
I have been without a cellphone for about 2 weeks now, iPhone appears useful, but my heart falls for a gPhone. Do i have to wait? I might. I need a cellphone that works for now, that would last me at least a year.
A warm welcome to everyone!
